Support Zack & His Father's
Triathlon Fundraiser for Healing in Israel

In honour of their deep connection to Israel, Zack and his father are participating in the 2025 Toronto Triathlon Festival to support a meaningful cause. Motivated by their commitment to giving back, they invite friends and supporters to join them in raising funds for the Ashdod Rehabilitation and Therapy Centre—a future place of healing, hope, and strength for survivors of October 7th.

We are a father and son completing the sprint triathlon at the Toronto Triathlon Festival on July 27th. We wanted to find a way to support Israelis affected by October 7th and give back to a country that is part of our identity, our hearts, and our ancestry. Our family of five is deeply connected to the land of Israel, and we want to do our part to help ensure it prospers and remains a safe place for people to live.

By supporting the Ashdod rehab facility, we honour the tradition of Tzedakah and show our commitment to the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people. The centre will help survivors who continue to suffer from the indescribable trauma of October 7th.

We also hope, with all our hearts, that the centre can one day serve as a sanctuary for the hostages still in captivity—when they are freed and finally come home.

Am Yisrael Chai.

Advancing Healthcare: New Rehab Center in Israel's South

The Ashdod Rehabilitation & Therapy Centre Project

Ashdod Rehabilitation & Therapy Centre

Bringing Vital Care to Southern Israel

The Ashdod Centre will deliver vital rehab care to southern Israel’s most vulnerable patients.

The Ashdod Rehabilitation & Therapy Centre is set to become a vital resource for southern Israel, providing critical medical and rehabilitative care to trauma victims, children with disabilities, and pediatric cancer patients.

Southern Israel faces a severe shortage of rehabilitation services, a situation made worse by the October 7 war. Nearly 30% of wounded patients and the majority of war victims are from the south, putting immense pressure on an already strained healthcare system. With only 11 rehabilitation centres in the region compared to 43 in central Israel, wait times can exceed a year. Children with disabilities and cancer patients are often forced to travel long distances to receive the care they need.

The Ashdod Rehabilitation & Therapy Centre aims to address these urgent challenges by offering timely, accessible, and high-quality treatment close to home. The facility will include rehabilitation clinics, a hydrotherapy pool, modern medical equipment, daycare services, and educational spaces.

Your donation will help fund vital services for patients and families once the Rehab Centre is complete.
