This year, the Israel Magen Fund of Canada (IMFoC.org) is participating in GivingTuesday, inviting Canadians to be part of this global generosity movement and support impactful projects that benefit vulnerable communities.
GivingTuesday started as a simple idea—a single day dedicated to encouraging people to do good. Following the consumer-heavy events of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, GivingTuesday offers a chance to refocus on what matters most: helping others and making a positive impact in the world. From its origins in the United States, this movement has expanded globally, now active in over 80 countries. In Canada, GivingTuesday was launched in 2013 through the collaboration of CanadaHelps.org, GIV3, and other founding partners, becoming a day when Canadians come together to make a difference in their communities.
On this day, individuals, organizations, and communities unite to support causes that align with their values. Whether through donations, volunteerism, or acts of kindness, GivingTuesday encourages people from all walks of life to participate and build a world where generosity is an everyday practice.

Supporting the Junior Board Members on GivingTuesday
This GivingTuesdayCA, the Israel Magen Fund of Canada, is spotlighting an initiative led by our IMFoC Junior Board members. This year, we're focusing on raising funds for our ZAKA Search & Rescue project. Guided by Grade 7 and 8 students from Robbins Hebrew Academy, this effort aims to raise funds to donate a scooter to ZAKA in Israel. Our goal is to reach $55,000 by the first night of Chanukah on December 25.
